"Warm" and "cold" aluminium windows differ in construction, thermal parameters and application.

Windows made of cold profiles are made entirely of aluminium. The profiles consist of one chamber and do not have any thermal insulation, which is why their thermal parameters are low. These types of systems are used to construct internal walls, swing doors, serving windows, display cases and boxes.

Warm profiles are used in residential construction. In addition to using them in standard windows, they are also used to construct, e.g., balcony windows, terrace windows or conservatories. Structure of warm windows is much more complex. Each profile from which such a window is made consists of two aluminium sections connected with a plastic thermal insert. The profiles are usually made of a minimum of three chambers, and each additional chamber improves their thermal properties. Such a profile structure creates thermal barrier, thanks to which windows have a better level of thermal insulation.

The elements of aluminium joinery should be cleaned with water with the addition of neutral cleaning agents. pH of cleaning agent should be 5.8.
Use a sponge for cleaning to avoid scratching the protective surface of the profile. Elements of aluminium structures should be maintained with the frequency adjusted to their operation area. In environments of low corrosion power (suburban areas) - at least twice a year.

The most important parameter that every buyer should pay attention to in terms of energy efficiency is the heat transfer coefficient through windows and doors (Uw).

This value should be as low as possible. In the upcoming years, the construction sector will face a gradual tightening of this criterion, starting from 2017 - Uw≤1.1 W/m2K, and from 2021 Uw≤0.9 W/m2K. For this reason, Yawal specialists, thanks to the use of innovative technologies and materials, have developed the TM 102HI system, which already meets the above requirements, allowing for the manufacture of windows with the highest level of thermal insulation - Uw from 0.45 W/m2K.

Standard partition walls makes the rooms smaller and often create an "overwhelming" effect. The accordion doors allow for dividing any room into separated zones while maintaining the possibility to liquidate them.

This structures may be of outdoors type, with thermal insulation, using profiles of the TM 62 HI and TM 74 HI systems, as well as “cold” internal partition wall made of the PBI 50N system. Using rails with top carriage allows for folding the door independently of type and condition of flooring. This universal solution also allows for creating accordion doors with bottom assembly - the guiding rail is installed below floor level.

The operation of traditional windows does not cause any problems for children. What is more, the creators of modern technologies, focusing on the comfort of use, make it easier for children.

That is why, to ensure the safety of our children, it is worth installing a system in the windows that will prevent them from opening the windows on their own. Yawal specialists equipped the windows manufactured on the basis of the company's systems with special fittings thanks to which after turning the handle to the horizontal position, the window does not open to its full width, but it tilts.

This solution is a reverse mechanism of the standard opening options available for traditional windows. To fully open the window, the handle must be set in the vertical position.

However, if this level of protections is not sufficient, it is possible to install a special handle, which is locked with a key insert. It does not affect the tilting, but the window is fully opened only after turning the key. The presented solutions will work not only in children's rooms, but also in nurseries, pre-schools and schools.

Shutters can be a beautiful and functional setting for each window, which, properly matched to the façade and windows, will underline the individual style of each house.

External window covers increase the living comfort of residents by regulating air circulation, insolation and temperature inside the rooms, limiting noise reaching the house, protecting windows against the adverse effects of weather conditions and making it difficult for intruders to break inside the house.

Aluminium shutters are characterized by long-term durability, easy cleaning, and no need for regular maintenance. They are an alternative to the more expensive wooden shutters available on the market. Rigid and at the same time slim frame profiles make Yawal Eclipse shutters suitable for use both in the event of windows as well as terrace and balcony doors.

Yawal designers have developed two variants of shutters:

  • with fixed slats allowing the access of light at a specific angle,
  • panel, which when closed provide the effect of a total blackout.

The wide range of hinges and fittings allows for installing the shutters to the window frame and to the wall. Closed shutter can form one plane with the façade, protrude in front of the façade or be placed in the window recess.

This is the result of using glass panes with a very low heat transfer coefficient, which prevents the outer surface of the insulated glass from heating up.

Under certain thermal and humidity conditions prevailing outside the building, the temperature of the external glass may be lower than the temperature of dew point at which water vapour condenses.
