Wooden doors, despite their elegance, are characterized by high susceptibility to adverse weather conditions. At least twice a year, in autumn and winter, their condition should be inspected, and they must be periodically repainted, which should take place every 4 to 8 years, depending on whether the door is covered with a transparent or opaque varnish. On the other hand, steel doors may lose their colour under the influence of strong sunlight. Aluminium doors do not require frequent maintenance or painting, retain colour for many years and are not susceptible to humidity.

Distributors of wooden and steel doors very often recommend the construction of a roofing to protect their product against humidity and sun. Wood dries and deforms at high temperature, while steel expands and warps. Humidity has a similar impact on these materials, changing the shape of the leaf/sash. In addition, humidity can lead to rotting of wooden doors. Aluminium doors "save" our money, as we do not have to build any additional roofing, which also gives us the freedom to arrange space.

NO SPECIAL CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS

It is often that the warranty terms and conditions for wooden doors include a provision that the warranty does not apply if the door leaf is located at a distance of less than 100 cm from the source of heating of the room, thus underfloor heating cannot be installed. The most efficient operation of the door is ensured by the construction of an unheated vestibule. This is due to the fact that large temperature differences affecting the inside and outside of the door can cause their deformation, affecting their operation and causing lack of tightness or difficulty in closing. It is the same for steel doors, with the latter ones returning to their original condition after the harmful heating and cooling effect ceases. However, it is possible to increase the level of security by adding multi-point bolts or anti-theft bolts mounted on the hinge side. If the door design assumes the installation of glazed elements, they are made of tempered glass.
