Declarations and certificates

Under the regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure, the conformity assessment of fire-protection doors and a set of products for making fire-resistant internal and external walls based on YAWAL systems is made by the manufacturer using the following conformity assessment systems:

• system 1 - in the event of turn fire-protection and/or smoke-tight doors and technical fire-protection windows,
• system 1 - in the event of sliding fire-protection doors,
•  system 3 - in the event of general-purpose sliding doors (without declared fire resistance) and a set of products for making internal and external walls.

SYSTEM 1

In the event of the conformity assessment of System 1, the Manufacturer may place the product on the market if the accredited certification body issues a certificate of product conformity on the basis of:

1. the Manufacturer's tasks:
   
   •  factory production control,
   • complementary tests on finished products (samples) taken at the manufacturing site, carried out by the Manufacturer in accordance with a prescribed test programme,
2. the tasks of the accredited body:
   
   • Initial Type Test,
   • initial inspection of the production plant and of factory production control,
   • continuous supervision, assessment and approval of factory production control,

SYSTEM 3

In the event of the conformity assessment of System 3, the Manufacturer may place the product on the market on the basis of:

• Initial Type Test carried out by an accredited laboratory,
• factory production control,

A detailed programme of tests and the scope of documentation necessary in the process of obtaining certificates of fire-protection structures are provided by the Regional Technical and Commercial Consultants.

According to the definition given in the Act on construction products, the national declaration of conformity is a manufacturer's declaration stating, at the manufacturer's sole responsibility, that the construction product is compliant with the Polish Product Standard or Technical Approval.

The declaration of conformity is issued by the manufacturer after assessing the conformity of the product with the relevant technical specification, using the conformity assessment system specified in the said specification or defined in the ordinance of the Minister of Infrastructure on declaring the conformity of construction products and the method of identifying them with a construction mark.

The rules for the issuance of declarations of conformity are described in the chapters CONFORMITY ASSESSMENT included in Technical Approvals issued for YAWAL systems.

Systems subject to the assessment based on the issued Technical Approvals: PBI 50N,, TM 75EI, TM 90EI, TM 62EI, roof structure FA 50N.

If a construction product is covered by a harmonized standard, or in the event a European Technical Assessment (ETA) has been issued for the product, the Manufacturer, when placing the product on the market, should issue a declaration of performance.

Currently applicable harmonized standards:

Obligations related to placing construction products on the market are governed by Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 March 2011. The Regulation on construction products explicitly defines the obligations of the manufacturer, who, when drawing up the declaration of performance, is responsible for ensuring that the product met the declared performance characteristics. The declaration of performance should be issued for windows and doors made of profiles with a thermal separator (without fire classification) and for façade structures.
