Arka Gdynia Stadium is a new sports and recreation complex created with the use of YAWAL systems. The stadium, which rooms 15 139 places, was designed by Studio Projektowe SPAK, a design studio. Budimex Dromex was selected as the contractor.
The value of the investment is almost PLN 65 million. For the convenience of the spectators, two large outdoor screens have been installed in the 8.9 thousand sq/m complex. This is one of the first such facilities among league stadiums.
It is a three star UEFA stadium considered one of the most beautiful stadiums in Poland.
Several Yawal solutions were implemented in the new Arka Gdynia stadium to provide comfort and safety of the complex users.
Yawal Sun Protection system used in the stadium swiftly follows the latest functional and architectural market trends. It apparently enriches the building structure making it more visually attractive. Yawal sun protection guarantees comfort of the stadium users, as the light reaches them reflected and dispersed, thanks to which it does not cause “blinding”. Another asset of the system is limiting the amount of thermal energy reaching the building.
Other Yawal systems applied in the complex were selected due to the perfect combination of functional and safety (passive and fire) properties.
DP 150 is a system which allows for the construction of sliding and suspended and sliding doors. It provides the possibility of a 3000 mm structure and up to 300 kg wing weight. The use of high quality fittings ensures comfort and easy use. The system allows the use of various types of fills, as well as system opening of large glazing.
TM 62 2.1 system is designed for the construction of modern door and window structures of great thermal insulation. On the basis of the system round windows have been installed in the new Arka Gdynia complex. A wide variety of profiles enables economic production of windows of proper size and various combinations of different doors and windows. Another asset of the system is a higher burglar resistance class (WK 2, WK 3).
PBI 50N is one of the strongest systems in its class. It consists of non-thermally insulated profiles 50 mm deep and it is used for economical internal and external structures, such as doors (including swing- and automatic doors), windows (serving hatches, non-load-bearing partition walls, cabinets, boxes, entrance enclosures, etc.). The unification introduced allows for fast production of the structures eliminating the possibility of prefabrication errors, as well as the production of smoke-proof doors.
